Special Olympics
Special Olympics is the world’s largest program of sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, currently serving 5.4 million athletes in over 170 countries. In Montana, we are currently serving more than 5,060 athletes with support from over 6,800 volunteers. Missoula High Schools is a Unified program. Special Olympics Unified Sports brings together children and adult athletes with and without intellectual disabilities to train, strive for goals, and compete on the same team. Missoula High Schools participate in Basketball, Winter Olympics, and Track and Field.
