MCPS Graduation Requirements

• 4 years of English
• 3 years of Math
• 1 year (or 2 semesters) Fine Art
• 2 years of Science (Integrated Science 1 & 2)
• 2.5 years Social Studies (includes 1 year of US History, 1 year of Government), and 1 semester of Social Studies elective)
• 1 year (or 2 semesters) Career and Technical Education
• 2 years Health Enhancement
• 1 semester Financial Literacy (Beginning with Class of 2026)
• 8 Elective credits
• Must complete 24 credits to graduate

If College bound add:

• 1 year Global Studies
• 2 years Foreign Language (must be the same language both years)
